HTC ONE M8 THE DUAL PRIMARY CAMERA SMARTPHONE SPECS AND PRICE IN NIGERIA

I am back with fresh news on some of the mobiles we have available now and for now I just have one of them I would like to tell you about. It’s the HTC. Sorry I have not posted much or anything on the HTC prior to this but come on, a man has to have his preferences. But my preferences I would say now were biased because my eyes were averted from the mobile giants until some of the specs of this phone caught my eye. As you have seen from my previous post the grandness of the sony xperia Z2, HTC had to bring something more competitive than the HTC one to the market and I think they did by making an upgrade to that version. And this upgrade is known as the HTC one (M8).

My regular way of commencing my posts, the SIZE. The phone has a length of 14.64cm, breadth of 7.06cm and width of 0.94cm but weighs about 160g. That’s quite heavy right? But you can’t blame the mobile giants, as they have done what other smart phone producers have been to scared to dabble into by making the whole casing of the phone metallic.
Yes the HTC one m8 comes in an aluminum casing which I guess added to the bulk of the phone hence the weight and also given the phone some protection. Pushing further, it has a 5inches display screen with 1440 X 2560 pixels which doesn’t hurt the eyes even at optimum brightness and enhances gaming, browsing the web and movie watching with its multi-touch touch screen and it front positioned speaker.
It has 4MP duo primary camera. And when I mean duo camera, I mean it comes with two back cameras. Ok that is surely weird you would say. But both the cameras are used for image stabilization and focus. Yes both the cameras snap at the same time as one is used for to stabilize the image and blot out other pixel noises while the other focuses on a particular part of the picture to your choice coming out pretty bright. You see its not a waste but 4MP is rather small I would say and don’t you think so too? Among other things, the camera has face detection, exposure compensation, white balance presets, burst mode, macro mode and duel LED flash. Also the front facing camera(secondary) is 5 megapixels in photography units. That’s more than other mobiles but not enough compensation on the shortcomings of the primary camera.

That done, we would now go to the internals of the phone. As you all would know that all new phones of 2014 comes equipped with the android 4.4 kitkat operating system, this one is not an exception as it does too. The RAM is about 2GB which is also impressive but I expected much better looking at all its shortages(2GB is not a big deal, an additional 0.5GB wouldn’t have hurt, would it?). Its built in storage is 32GB of which 24GB is available to the user and it has an expandable memory of up to 128GB with a qualcomm snapdragon 801 system chip.

All other miscellaneous features of the phone are present such as usb port, ear plugs port, volume and power buttons. But finally, HTC blessed it a bit (just a teensy lil bit) but upgrading the battery life as the phone has a standby time of 20.7 days in 3G mode.

Pros
  • Big screen with a high resolution display.
  • Though I didn’t mention but it has fast mobile data support of 4G.
  • Metallic casing finish.
Cons
  • Battery cannot be replaced by the user.
  • The primary camera strength.
