You all might ask why I am giving the double sim version of
the Samsung crew more spotlight than the rest, simply the answer: I just like
double sim phone because they seem reduce the workload of carrying two mobiles
and still perform the same function. Okay no worries after like a few of them,
I would delve into other phones proper, even the Tecno Phantom, other androids
of different makes, windows phones and other electronics in general would be
given some exposure here so stay tuned.
So to the business of today, the Samsung galaxy S duos is a
mid-range phone like the Core but smaller in size and shaped more like the S3.
It comes in the size dimensions of 11.3cm height, 6.2cm wide and 1.2 cm thick
which proves that it is a very slim smart-phone compared to others. In its
plastic encased body, it features a TFT type capacitive touchscreen of 320 x
480 pixels density and 3.5inches touch space. Already knowing it supports
double sim, they both support 2G and 3g network with
dual standby. Behind the
phone is a 5mp of 2592 x 1944 pixels sporting Geo-tagging and smile detection
(Does not support secondary camera).
With an internal memory of 3GB(1.2 usable) and RAM of 512MB,
Samsung seems to have found a place to cut down on the specs for making the
phone a mid-range device. Supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and has
ports for 3.5mm jack and usb cord. Okay, though featuring this specs, the phone
comes with an android version 2.3(Gingerbread) Operating system which is
upgradable to the ice-cream sandwich and has its Accelerometer, proximity and
compass working at top notch.
Finally Samsung decided to cap it off with a stereo FM radio
player, java MIDP emulator and GPS support. They come in the colours white,
black and La fleur with battery life of up to 420 hours standby and 7 hours
talk time.
It can be purchased at Nigerian stores at the prices listed
