ORJI UZOR KALU'S CERTIFICATE WITHDRAWN

The Abia state university has withdrawn the certificate issued to one of it's previous governors in the person of Orji Uzor Kalu. The registrar Mr. O.E Onuoha said in a statement that the decision was taken after checking the circumstances of the allegations levelled against the governor leading to his stepping down........

Mr. Onuoha said "the decision of the senate was based on the following grounds among others- violation of the academic regulations of the university on the admission-by-transfer which rendered the offer irregular and the non-completion of the mandatory six semesters before being awarded the degree being that he spent only two semesters"

Kalu who dropped out of the university of maiduguri and then enrolled at the Abia state university while he was governor of the state was said to have skirted lectures and attendances and based on the school regulations was in-appropriate and due to this his certificate was withdrawn...........
