HOW TO GET A GOOD JOB EASILY IN NIGERIA

Chinedu a young biochemistry graduate just finished from the prestigious university of Nigeria Nsukka and after completing his mandatory 1 year of NYSC has been looking for a job for a year and half now though he graduated from a good university with great results. He had tried applying for jobs into various and still didn’t get anything out of them. So on his way back from an interview which he already knew he had failed due to his performance, he saw Fred at saka tinubu, victoria island. Fred was his friend in the university who he was better than in school and even left the higher institution with a better result him but here he was in a posh Toyota camry 2015 model cruising back from a well-paid job in a highbrow area of lagos. ” Ah ah, fred my guy howfar nah wetin dey happen” Chinedu guffawed sizing his former “olodo” classmate up.
Fred pulled over and stepped out to greet his old classmate well. Damn he was looking good. They exchanged pleasantries and then Chinedu asked the question that was on his mind as soon as he had seen Fred. “Omo its like you are working in a big company oh”?, “Yes oh na God do am” Fred answered him. Then Chinedu went on to ask “wait oh seriously, how you do am upon I pass you for class with second class upper division and you with a poor second class lower division”.

SAI BUHARI, BYE JONATHAN

Chants of Sai Buhari everywhere you go. Congratulations to him sha I wasn’t supporting anybody though but the ballot I counted shocked me (am feeling like an electoral officer already), because APC was dealing with PDP in my local government already like there was no tomorrow. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola being the governor of Osun might have affected the result was my initial thought of why the results in these parts turned out in favour of APC but for where, I heard results of other states and I was like :o What could be the cause of this?

Jonathan kept up “the good name”; he played the good part in politics by not rigging the election. Good for him, I myself am not an advocator of corruption but looking at it critically, leaving the seat as a contesting incumbent president is what I think I have not seen in Nigeria before. Every other person would fight tooth and nail to retain the seat but not our Jonathan. He showed good sportsmanship and demonstrated that phrase “Fair Play” in all its right sense. After all the rants of Asari what does he have to say now? Jonathan listened to no one and I think that’s why he is where he is now.

TIPS ON HOW TO GROW TALLER THAN YOU ARE IN YOUR 20’S or 30’s

My mother has of recent been bringing up jokes that suggests she wants me to marry soonest. You know when your mother comes up with talks like, “nnam, I saw you with one slim girl the other day *winks* who is she”, or “hey I saw one girl in the market today and she was so fine, TALL and fair and fleshy, she would make a good wife”, ha! Just because she is fair, fleshy and tall now makes her wifeable? Hmmm, there is God oh! Meanwhile, looking through my laptop, she sees pics I have taken with other girls and she be like, “ah ah, this one is short, please oh don’t bring her to wife oh”. Apart from what my mum thinks and her opinions, I myself have noticed that most girls of recent are what you call “short” or in other words, brief, down to earth and summarized. Why? You might ask(you might even be in that category). Heredity is the number one phenomenon to blame, then we can ask the foods we eat some questions and finally our lifestyle. But there are some ways you can naturally without drugs cause a lil bit of height increase.

 Exercise

Nigerians mtchew where them get time for that one? Wake in the morning, lazily get out of bed, brush your teeth, take a heavy breakfast, get into your car and drive of to work. At work sit around all day writing and signing papers. At the end of work get into your car again and drive home to dinner and little sleep. On the weekends, mete out more than enough judgement on accumulated sleep during the week and then start all over again on Monday. No time to exercise a bit. Scientist have found out that that 20minutes walk a day strengthens the tibia and fibula(forming medically inclined nah J) and helps the longest bone in the body the femur or thigh bone increase in length. Extra jogs and runs on Saturdays and taking up some exercising schemes help the production of calcium in the body which in turn forms bones. So exercises such as jogging, running and walking helps with your lower body lengthening take it or leave it

GEJ VS GMB. A COMIC APPROACH TO VOTING FOR NONE

okay we are going into politics todays somebody say halleluyah. First of all I want to get some things out the way. I, my humble self and me am not a politics person, so writing this piece should come out funny if I should go by what is running in my head. I never really got to know the meaning of GMB until I asked someone after seeing it on a rice bag and the dude was like, “Guy you dey this country at all”? Is it by force to sabi everything that goes on in this country, my people help me see oh. So he told me it means General Muhammad Buhari. And my face was like that smiley with the O shaped mouth :o. okay then he was about to go into explaining the meaning of GEJ when I prided myself in the intangible yet useless knowledge I had about the acronym. “Is it not Goodluck Ebele Jonathan or JEGA – Jonathan Ebele Goodluck Azikiwe” , he then looked at me and said then why don’t you know Buhari. Then I had to reflect a bit. I had heard about the guy I think when I was in primary school or my early days in the junior secondary school. I heard something akin to what I had heard about Abacha, I don’t know if I heard right or was just relating their being both military rulers and northerners but something about tyranny kept ringing in my head. So why my rant? Why shouldn’t you vote the incumbent Niger-Deltan or the General tyrant?

AH! OSUN STATE! ILA-ORANGUN! NYSC WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL ME?

Okay its been long I have been on this platform but sorry guys I have to come back and talk to you coz if not how do I expect you guys to come back. Okay I am serving my country as the country demands we do after school which to me is a kind waste of time (my initial thought sha, because now I think I am having a rethink). For my national youth service corps, I was posted to Osun state first of all. We got there and Ebola said hell no, you guys should leave camp (camp is a mandatory 21 days waste of time which the federal government has devised to use to spoil some peoples life but not my own sha) and return to your houses, so I gladly took my stuffs after buying lots of things for it (I spent money sha) and went back home. Then we came back after two weeks and we were posted to our PPA’s(place of primary assignment if you don’t know what it means *wink*). That was the first time I heard people complain. I was hearing stuffs like, “Kai, why I no collect camp official number so I go repost myself”, “which kind winch be this one nah”, “omo God please help me, which kind thing be this nah”. And that was when I heard really scary names in my life, names like- Atakunmosa and Ila-Orangun, and I peeped into my posting letter to find out that I was among the scary named candidates. I saw in bold letters ILA-ORANGUN. Okay so it prompted me to take out my phone. You know that point when you are posted to a place you have never heard of and you suddenly have an urge to study geography, Yes I was in that state. So I keyed in, “OSUN STATE MAP AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ILA-ORANGUN” and that was when the real shocker came.

Ok for those seeking admission into University of Lagos for any course at all. Good news because you are almost there. The school has opened its gates to accept you by putting on sale its post UTME scratch cards. Yep you heard me right, the Unilag post-UTME scratch cards out for sale yesterday the 3rd of july 2014.  for those who are prospective 2014/2015 students, this is how it should be done.
First of all, the UTME board having decided to slash down all schools cut-off to 180, Unilag did not succumb. So am sorry if you did not make up to that, better luck next year. So for those who scored 200 and above and have made University of Lagos their first choice university, you are halfway there. Said you are halfway there because you can write the post-UTME. But entrance into the university, you need to have five(5) O’ level credit passes in your relevant subjects including English and mathematics. Now we are 75% there. To be eligible by 100%, you need to be 16 years of age by the end of October 2014. So that’s all you need for you to be eligible. Any other questions, use the comment box below.

HTC ONE M8 THE DUAL PRIMARY CAMERA SMARTPHONE SPECS AND PRICE IN NIGERIA

I am back with fresh news on some of the mobiles we have available now and for now I just have one of them I would like to tell you about. It’s the HTC. Sorry I have not posted much or anything on the HTC prior to this but come on, a man has to have his preferences. But my preferences I would say now were biased because my eyes were averted from the mobile giants until some of the specs of this phone caught my eye. As you have seen from my previous post the grandness of the sony xperia Z2, HTC had to bring something more competitive than the HTC one to the market and I think they did by making an upgrade to that version. And this upgrade is known as the HTC one (M8).

My regular way of commencing my posts, the SIZE. The phone has a length of 14.64cm, breadth of 7.06cm and width of 0.94cm but weighs about 160g. That’s quite heavy right? But you can’t blame the mobile giants, as they have done what other smart phone producers have been to scared to dabble into by making the whole casing of the phone metallic.
Yes the HTC one m8 comes in an aluminum casing which I guess added to the bulk of the phone hence the weight and also given the phone some protection. Pushing further, it has a 5inches display screen with 1440 X 2560 pixels which doesn’t hurt the eyes even at optimum brightness and enhances gaming, browsing the web and movie watching with its multi-touch touch screen and it front positioned speaker.
It has 4MP duo primary camera. And when I mean duo camera, I mean it comes with two back cameras. Ok that is surely weird you would say. But both the cameras are used for image stabilization and focus. Yes both the cameras snap at the same time as one is used for to stabilize the image and blot out other pixel noises while the other focuses on a particular part of the picture to your choice coming out pretty bright. You see its not a waste but 4MP is rather small I would say and don’t you think so too? Among other things, the camera has face detection, exposure compensation, white balance presets, burst mode, macro mode and duel LED flash. Also the front facing camera(secondary) is 5 megapixels in photography units. That’s more than other mobiles but not enough compensation on the shortcomings of the primary camera.

That done, we would now go to the internals of the phone. As you all would know that all new phones of 2014 comes equipped with the android 4.4 kitkat operating system, this one is not an exception as it does too. The RAM is about 2GB which is also impressive but I expected much better looking at all its shortages(2GB is not a big deal, an additional 0.5GB wouldn’t have hurt, would it?). Its built in storage is 32GB of which 24GB is available to the user and it has an expandable memory of up to 128GB with a qualcomm snapdragon 801 system chip.

All other miscellaneous features of the phone are present such as usb port, ear plugs port, volume and power buttons. But finally, HTC blessed it a bit (just a teensy lil bit) but upgrading the battery life as the phone has a standby time of 20.7 days in 3G mode.

Pros
  • Big screen with a high resolution display.
  • Though I didn’t mention but it has fast mobile data support of 4G.
  • Metallic casing finish.
Cons
  • Battery cannot be replaced by the user.
  • The primary camera strength.

LG G3 SMASHING SPECS AND PRICE IN NIGERIA

My dear readers, when I am through with the specs of this phone, I would like you to rate from my recent posts from last month, the brand name you think has produced the best mobile phone of 2014 based on the specs because asking me personally I don’t think I can. These electronic giants has me in a confused state as they keep reeling out smashing amazing phones.

These electronic giants has me in a confused state as they keep reeling out smashing amazing phones.
The LG G3 is the newest flagship from the life is good professers and truly from the look of these specs, I think they are professing the truth. This beast of a phone is grandly large at 14.6cm length, 7.5cm width and 0.89cm thick(really slim I would say). And it weighs a meagre 149g, as opposed to some other mobiles.
With 5.5inches of display I think you have all you media and fun activities aspects of your phone covered as this size would provide a wide viewing range for whatever you would like to do with the phone(except you are size-o-phobic like me). A multi-touch screen with an oleophobic coating makes oily smudges and fingerprints from swipes and slides not a problem as it is smudge-proof. And what can beat the positioning of the physical buttons, with both the power and volume buttons situated at the back under the camera. I know it would take some time getting used to but hey, that’s a first(apart from being in the G2 version) and I respect innovation when I see it. Untraditional positioning of power and volume keys gives it a design edge.
Okay camera wise, it is okay with 13MP of primary camera sporting dual LED, HDR, voice activation, geo-tagging, face detection and smile detection. The secondary camera is not so hot at 2.1MP but hey apart from video-calling what’s the use.
Internally, the software is the all new android 4.4 kitkat and hardware includes system RAM of 3GB, a qualcomm snapdragon 801 system chip, an Adreno 330 graphics processor and an internal memory of 32GB which is expandable with a microsd card of up to 128GB. All these are roof blowing especially the RAM. With that amount of RAM, I can play whatever game there is on the android market and have no fear of freezing or sudden shutdowns. Also the graphics processor is bound to make a game freak like me or any of you out there like get caught up for days in the planet of gaming.
Now, lets get off these platform by rounding off with the battery life which is approximately 22.8 days on standby and remember all miscellaneous possessed by other phone are arguably represented here. Thank you for your patronage. Get out there and get yourself an LG G3 but do not blame me if the price is killing. ;)
Pros
Lots of RAM
Design sense in button physical positioning
Fast mobile data support(4G).
Not yet in Nigeria folks, would update that later on….. peace out.
Cons
The phone doesn’t come out so bright in daylight(backlight wahala).
The price stated below was correct as at the time of this post and only one shop had it Nigeria

NO MOBILE BETTER THAN IT, IT IS THE XPERIA Z2. WORLD MOST MIND BLOWING MOBILE PHONE

The battle for the best mobile android phone is still on amongst electronics giants Samsung, LG and SONY. But I think in the lead at this moment is Sony. When I saw this mobile online, I was actually comparing the internal specs to my personal computer. Yes that’s how powerful it is.
Lets get into the phone as quickly as we can because there is no time to say no time. Usually I start with the size of the phone, but not today. I would be starting with what actually made me compare it with my laptop. The RAM. Omo guys, the phone comes with a 3GB RAM. Yep you heard me right 3GB. Now if you have a system, tell me how many gigabyte of Random Access Memory it has. With 3GB RAM, tell me what game you can’t run successfully without it cracking on your mobile. And the internal memory is 16GB which most high end mobiles these days come with but expandable memory of up to 128GB. It comes with the new android OS v4.4.2 KitKat with CPU of Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait.
Next is the camera features, this phone is almost a camera on its own but not yet the Samsung zoom. Primary camera is 20.7MP with flash, face detection, geo-tagging and

THE NEW BBM FOR ANDROID: BEST CHAT APP FOR 2014

It all started when my phone started getting slow and I decided to do away with some of my apps knowing fully well that I am a game lover, I pigheadedly started with my other apps leaving my games even those ones I was already done with. I uninstalled my medical dictionary, bank mobile app and was about to delete Badoo when I mistakenly uninstalled my BBM. Gosh, I was like….. all my unanswered messages lost plus the data I would wait having to re-download it again. So I headed over to goggle play and searched for the app. To my greatest surprise, the app I earlier downloaded for 12.67MB was now going for 21.56MB. woah, then I went on to investigate and that was when I found the cause of the hike in size.
The blackberry app for android on the playstore and appstore for the apple users was
